Can you believe it has been 10 years since the release of Grand Theft Auto III. I for one cannot. That game did things to me. I started to expect more from games after playing that game. It was awesome. Guess what I am going to be writing next now? A Blast From The Past.
Anyways, to get back to the topic at hand, Rockstar is celebrating the 10th anniversary as well. For starters, they are re releasing the game. It will make its way to new generation Android and iDevices this fall. That means it will be on the following:
- iPad 2
- iPhone 4s
- Droid X2
- HTC Evo 2
- LG Optimus 2x
- Motorola Atrix
- Samsung Galaxy S2
- Acer Iconia
- Asus Eee Pad
- Motorola Xoom
- Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1
I am sure even newer devices will be able to get it as well. But, it is pretty impressive that they are putting this game on a phone.
Along with the re release, they are also releasing a limited addition action figure of Claude. Don't know Claude? Replay the game! Anywho, the action figure is made by Sideshow. I don't collect action figures so I have no idea who this company is but Rockstar talks them up. He comes dressed in his normal attire plus gets a bonus prison suit. He also comes with various weapons from the game. Oh, he is 1:6 scale. Now, don't have a heart attack... The MSRP is $149.99!!!!! I love the game but I don't love action figures. I will probably be passing. However, Rockstar's Social Club members can possibly get one for free. Just get there before 10/16/2011.
