Fragger

Fragger: Review

The goal of Fragger is simple. Throw grenades and blow up the guys who look like robbers. The only thing you adjust is the trajectory and the power of the thrown grenades.

Fragger is a good game concept. Physics based puzzles are a lot of fun. So what does it excel in.

Fragger has explosions. Not only do the grenades explode after a set period of time, but there are explosive boxes that add to the puzzles. Some of these boxes even launch in a predetermined direction before exploding.

Fragger is a puzzle game. You can't just hope a grenade lands near an enemy and blows up and destroys them. There are obstacles that need to be destroyed. Some need to be destroyed in a certain order. Walls and ceilings need to be hit at the correct angles and power level.

The best perk that this game offers is that it is free. Or, it was free. Free is always good.

Now, Fragger does a lot of things wrong. This could be probably overlooked but there are much better variations of the concept that this game offers. Case in point, Angry Birds.

First, the puzzles overall are more so repetitive and unenjoyable. There are some surprises but overall just not that exciting.

The game acts very strange at times as well. Sometimes, I can get the angle much closer to the ground. Than, I will restart the level and I can no longer get that angle.

The game has crashed and frozen on me way to much as well. It is hard to enjoy a game when you are about to beat a level that does have some challenge and than BAM, no longer can continue to play.

So, what is the verdict? Well, if you are desperate for a free game to waste a few minutes to an hour, give the game a go. Otherwise, try a different one instead.
