I am not the biggest fan of massive multiplayer online games, MMOGs. Actually, there are very few that I like and usually none of them I play. Haypi Kingdom has been somewhat recently introduced to my gaming repertoire. Essentially, you are in control of a town as a general. You gather resources, build up your forces, and enhance the defenses. Than, you can attack other towns.
What is strange is that it is only available on mobile devices. As of right now, that includes iOS, Android, and Windows Phone 7. This really is not a bad thing. This allows the game to be solely enhanced for these platforms. Any other platform is drastically different and may hamper the effectiveness on these platforms.
Usually, games like this I quit after a week. I don't know if you have ever been acquainted with a game called Travian but that was one example. I played a couple of times but each time it lasted about only a week. One part of the problem was that I had to make sure to get on it everyday. It always seemed a hassle for maybe 10 minutes of gameplay at a time. I think the other problem always was that I got attacked before I could do anything. Before I knew it, I had lost my city.
Haypi Kingdom seems to fix all the problems I had with other similar games. I always have my phone on me and since this game is an app, it takes 5 seconds to get it up and running. It is just so easy. Also, I am able to incorporate some strategy in this version.
Otherwise, the game is pretty solid. The developers are consistently updating and creating events to keep the game fresh. The graphics are suitable. Nothing spectacular but this is also a mobile game so that really isn't a staple anyways.
The community is pretty nice as well. There is an in-game chat that it is easy to ask for advice on or just talk about the game. Players tend to not talk about real life which is also kind of awesome.
I suggest You Play This Game!
