Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit

Need For Speed Hot Damn

Before I begin, let's get one thing straight. The past couple of years the Need for Speed series has kind of sucked. I love the Need For Speed series. But, I haven't actually bought a Need for Speed game since Underground 2. That game was alright but just couldn't hold up to the oldies and goodies.

Now, fast forward to around now. EA has released Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. This isn't the first Hot Pursuit. And really, I hope it isn't the last. It surely won't be the last Need For Speed.

Anyways, let's actually talk about the game. First, you should notice that the game is gorgeous. At least, on the PS3 it is. The scenery, the cars, the effects. They just all look beautiful. And, it didn't take 10 years to develop.

Now, beauty is not everything. Various games prove that. It is truly about the mechanics. The camera needs to work appropriately. Things shouldn't appear out of place. Etc, etc. Well guess what? This game excels in everything. Honestly, it has been quite awhile since I have had this much fun playing a racing game.

There are some things that I would have liked to have seen. A more costly damage system would have been great. I am referring to how you would need to fix your car from damages. However, there is no monetary system. The fact there is no monetary system allows one to enjoy the rest of the game more. So, yes they would have been cool but it really doesn't detract from the game at all. Also, downloadable content packs' trophies should not be included when you do not possess said such content packs.

So, this should be a no brainer. Play This Game!!!
